The single-row potato
harvester is a robust
piece of equipment that
attaches to a tractor
via a Category 1
three-point linkage and
is powered by the PTO
shaft. Designed for
precision, it features
adjustable metal wheels
that control the digging
depth, ensuring optimal
soil disturbance. As the
digging blade slices
into the earth, it lifts
the potatoes onto a
sieving belt where the
soil is broken apart,
falling through the
conveyor bars while the
potatoes are gently
pushed toward the rear.
To prevent damage from
the tractor tyres, two
strategically placed
guides direct the
freshly harvested
potatoes to the centre
of the row behind the
harvester. This design
minimizes disruption to
the adjacent rows.
Versatile in operation,
the harvester can either
follow directly behind
the tractor or be offset
to the side, providing
flexibility for
different field layouts. |
